The band was formed 15 years ago by Emergency Exit Arts as a parade and street band. It is usually a 6 or 7 piece expanding to 9, consisting of horns and drums and playing a festive mixture of music from around the world, the costume reflecting the funky style of the band. Crocodile Style forms the basis of the Bollywood Brass Band and can perform in conjunction with the Bollywoods, sometimes providing two bands for the price of one. Crocodile Style also has a Christmas repertoire for those Yule time events.

Creating a sense of carnival, with vibrant music and nifty dance steps, Crocodile Style have been booked (and re-booked) throughout Europe since 1987, at festivals of all descriptions from world music to International Juggling Conventions, corporate functions, and community events.

Playing Situation: On procession, wandering and in a set location; acoustic and amplified.

Personnel: The band includes some of London's most versatile and wide-eared musicians, also to be heard with bands including the Grand Union, Zubop and Tanteeka.

Workshops: members of Crocodile Style can offer workshops in various aspects of music and instrument making.
