The Band introduce themselves:

Ros Davies -
trombone and flute

Ros Davies

After a classical training on flute and piano, Ros became a member of The York Streetband (with Sarha) in which she played alto sax and whistle. Having taken up the trombone (much encouraged by Annie Whitehead), she came to London and joined women's band Hi Jinx, which played all over London in the GLC days. At the same time she became a member of Grand Union Orchestra - "World Music on a Grand Scale". She continues to be a core member of the Orchestra and of the workshop team, helping to devise, organise and run Grand Union's programme of workshops and participatory projects.

Ros particularly enjoys outdoor gigs. She was a member of the All Weather Band - the regular street band at the Millennium Dome, and continues to be a member of Crocodile Style. She also works with The Transisters - a women's street band and samba workshop group (with Kay and Sarha) and has taught both instruments and class music in schools.

She loves doing arrangements for The Bollywood Brass Band.
