Philippe is of Salvadorian and French origin and has been resident in London since 1990.

His live playing experience includes: Natacha Atlas, Abdelkader Saadoun, Laika, Bassistry, Emperor's New Clothes, and a jam with Mick Jagger and co. at Bob Geldof's 50th birthday party, after the Bollywoods performed there

Studio recordings include:
Dee-An- Bassistry Productions, Fourth World- Electric Melt, Changuito-Melt 2000, Leroy Quintyn-Gee St, Emperor's New Clothes- Acid Jazz, Bassistry- Okapi Records.

Philippe works for various educational projects with Bassistry Arts and has written for world music software: O-Generator.
