The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2008

The BBB Rock Delhi!  

The BBB finally got to play in India - and what a gig!
We were flown out at 2 weeks notice to play at the Finale of The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2008 - a show put on by one of India's top designers - Manish Arora.

The theme was 'circus' and the whole auditorium was redesigned to look like a Big Top, complete with huge, golden animals decorating the arena. Two hours before the show, the space was black and empty, but hordes of Indian workers transformed it with such speed and skill that the circus illusion was complete and the scene was set for the Finale.
The costumes were out of this world, and the models (also out of this world!) walked down the catwalk to 6 Bollywood tunes from our repertoire, re-arranged to be a continuous soundtrack for the event.

After the show we posed for photos and then recorded an interview with snatches of 3 tunes for TV Today Network ("The Bollywood Brass Band rocks Delhi").
After that we were whisked off to the 5 Star The Ashok Hotel to play at the after show party in The F-Bar. And after that - sadly - we went to the airport to come home! Two nine hour flights in four days, but it was worth every minute.
